a. My purpose for this portfolio is to show how I accomplished the GLOs this quarter.
b. My experiences have varied throughout the two years in MeneMAC. I learned a lot from projects and assignments given to me in all my core classes.
General Learner Outcomes:
Self-Directed Learner- Learning on your own my being responsible.
Example #1: This I Believe, because I had to assess myself and my own beliefs and then write an opinionated essay on how I feel about what I believe. I was responsible for doing research on a subject for my essay, in my case I had to look up dates like when my grandpa died.

Example #2: Allusion Poem is my second example because I was responsible for making a connection between me and my allusion, after I found a suitable allusion I had to write a poem about it.

Community Contributor- Someone who can present ideas and have something to offer to people or a certain cause.
Example #1: ExploraVision, was a good way to exercise working with groups of people. As a group it was a challenge to come up with an idea we all agreed on and could work off of. After we found a future technology to research and write about we had to assign tasks for everyone but it was hard for everyone to follow through with their part. I learned that you need to be prepared to help everyone else with their part of the project and be flexible. Regardless of our obstacles this project was a success because we won honorable mention nationally.
Example #2: Risky Business because was another group project that depended on each group members contribution. Everyone needed to do their part to complete the project.

Complex Thinker- Be able to problem solve in a complicated situation and find a plausible solution.
Example #1: Quadrant D, was a challenge from the beginning. We first had to think of a project we did in the past that required a high level of thinking and application, and we chose the pinhole camera project from photography 1. Then we had to recreate the project by going through the process of making the camera. Lastly we had produce a video about the process and how it was a quadrant d project.
Example #2: Project icarus was another challenge. First we had to come up with a project could result in a final product, then we had to go out and work on the project, finding a mentor, journalling, and ultimately producing a final project. Quality Producer- Able to work efficiently and have a product thats reflects the effort put into it.
Example #1: Science Music Video, because our task was to pick a topic in science and remake a song and make a music video to go with it that teaches about your topic. We worked hard on making lyrics, recording music, shooting on multiple occasions, and editing our video. Our ending product was an effective music video that was clear and easy to remember.

Example #2: ExploraVision, was an example producing quality work because after all our hard work we ended up winning honorable mention for the national wide contest.
Effective Communicator- Convey a message or idea to a person or group of people.
Example #1: Risky Business, because we had to convey a message about teenage risk behavior. We did research, wrote and essay, created surveys, interviewed people and made a video documentary of our topic. This was an example of communicating because by making the video and surveying teens we made them more aware of teen depression.

Example #2: This I Believe, because I shared my own beliefs and opinion on life, contributing my ideas of what I believe.

Effective and Ethical User of Technology- Use different technologies properly and produce quality work.
Example #1: Allusion Poem and graphic, is an example of technology use because aside from making a poem alluding to ourselves we had to create a graphic correlating the poem. I used photoshop elements to make the allusion graphic.

Example #2: Science Music Video, because the final music video was a result of our ethical use of camera equipment, mics, editing programs and music editing programs.

Goals:
My goals for the future are to finish high school, go away to and art college on the east coast, study to either become a nurse, teacher or a photographer or a part time photographer.
